Financial Performance Analysis of Selected Banks Using CAMEL Approach

The paper has made a modest attempt to analyze the performance of eleven commercial banks in India during the period 2013 to 2017, using CAMEL approach. Based on the various ratios under CAMEL parameter, it is observed that Kotak Bank and HDFC Bank are the top performers while the public sector giant State Bank of India and Punjab National bank are at the bottom. This study also reveals the financial position and soundness among top eleven commercial banks.Downloads
