Abstract

Sustainability of LPG demand is an issue of current concern for the energy managers in the country. No one knows for certain as to how much LPG would be required for meeting the cooking fuel requirement of our people in the foreseeable future, when the country is passing through a process of economic transformation, resulting in high disposable income with people and change in living standard. From a distant view, it appears, there is a huge unmet demand waiting to be fulfilled. Two other factors related to this issue are: a) supply side and b) price of LPG. While pricing of LPG has economic and political implications, supply side issue has to do with a chain of issues including.
